Frequently asked questions

Which chain length do I need?

It depends on your top rail height and the seat height you want. Tell us the top rail height and seat type, or send a photo of the frame, and we will confirm the length before you order.

What is the difference between plastisol coated and trivalent coated chain?

Plastisol chain has a soft plastic coating over the links, which is easier on hands. Trivalent coated chain is bare metal with a corrosion resistant finish and is sold by the foot so you can cut to length.

Will the hardware hold up in wet or coastal weather?

These are commercial outdoor parts. In salt air or heavy rain, check chain and connectors more often for rust and wear, and send your ZIP code if you want a recommendation.

When should chain and connectors be replaced?

Replace chain when links are worn thin at the contact points, and replace any S-hook that has opened, since the CPSC Handbook calls for S-hooks to be fully closed. The inspection guide covers what to check.

Will these fit my existing swing set?

Most commercial frames use standard hardware, but hangers vary by manufacturer. Send a photo and we will match the part.

How do I pay and how fast does it ship?

Order online or by purchase order. Lead time is listed on each product page and freight is quoted to your ZIP code.
